It is the question we hear almost every week at our Gulshan office: "Bali or the Maldives?" Both are spectacular. They are just spectacular in different ways.
The case for the Maldives
The Maldives is pure escapism. One resort, one lagoon, zero decisions. Overwater villas start around ৳1,20,000 per couple for three nights on local islands and climb quickly from there. Privacy is total, the water is impossibly clear, and everything from dolphin cruises to sandbank dinners comes to you.
Choose it if: your budget is flexible and the trip is 3–5 nights of doing absolutely nothing, beautifully.
The case for Bali
Bali is escapism with adventures attached. Rice-terrace mornings, waterfall afternoons, beach-club evenings — plus temples, spas and scooter day-trips. A five-day honeymoon from Dhaka runs about ৳1,26,000 including flights, and meals and transport stretch your money further.
Choose it if: you want variety, culture and nightlife between the romantic dinners.
